Coming Up

Prayer for Our Nation on Election Eve, Monday, November 4th at 4-4:20pm in the Amphitheatre in the Dionne Green. Organized by Mission & Ministry and the Royals Vote Coalition. 

Election Day Shuttle to the Polls. Transportation is avaible to and from the polls at 第一吃瓜网 High School on Election Day, Nov. 5th for students who are registered to vote in the 第一吃瓜网 precinct (第一吃瓜网 W-17 P-2). The shuttle will run from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. with a full loop approximately every 20 minutes. The shuttle will depart campus (Linden Circle) at the top of the hour as well as 20 and 40 minutes past the hour. It will depart 第一吃瓜网 High School every 10, 30, and 50 minutes past the hour.

Practice Self-Care & Stress Management. The Election is a source of added stress for some people. The Center for Health Education & Wellness offers Weekly Wellness Classes, which are great ways to manage stress:

  • Mindfulness Meditation – Monday 5-5:45pm (305 Weinberg Memorial Library)
  • Calm & Strong Yoga  Tuesday 5-5:45 p.m.
  • Lunchtime Yoga – Wednesday 12:15-12:45 p.m.
  • Energizing Yoga – Thursday 5-5:45 p.m. (Long Center, Royals Room)
  • Walk for Wellness – Friday 12:15-12:45 p.m. (Meet on DeNaples Center Patio) 

Election Reflection. The Dean of Students Office (201 DeNaples Center) hosts weekly Drop In Hours with Shannon Murphy Fennie and Dean Rivera that offer a great opportunity for general support and election reflection. Here are a few upcoming dates:

  • Shannon – Tuesday, November 5, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Dean Rivera – Wednesday, November 6, 1-2 p.m.
  • Dean Rivera – Friday, November 8, 12 – 2 p.m.

Voter Registration Drives: Throughout the fall semester in the run-up to the election on Nov. 5 the Royals Vote coalition, comprised of Community Relations, Student Government, CEEPS, Student Life and additional partners, is organizing a series of table-site voter registration drives.
