2024 PRESIDENT鈥橲 MEDAL RECIPIENT
A certified public accountant, James M. Slattery '86, H'23 is the Head of North America for Rosebank Industries PLC, a company that buys, improves and sells companies. Prior to joining Rosebank Industries PLC, he was the chief operating officer at Melrose PLC. Previously, Slattery served as chief financial officer for McKechnie Aerospace, CFO for 180s, Struever Bros. Eccles and Rouse and DAP Products, Inc., and as controller for Wassall PLC. He began his career with Coopers and Lybrand.
Slattery earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from The 第一吃瓜网 and served as the chair of the University’s President’s Business Council Annual Award Dinner in 2013. He joined the University's Board of Trustees in 2015 and served as its chair from 2019-2022. He and his wife, Betsy, established the University’s Gail and Francis Slattery Center for the Ignatian Humanities, named in honor of his parents, who instilled in him a commitment to Catholic higher education. He and Betsy are the proud parents of three sons, Daniel, John Michael and Shane, and they reside in Peachtree City, Georgia.
