Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Program Overview
Our nursing major provides you with a solid foundation of education and clinical practice to prepare you for a successful transition into professional practice.
You'll develop your critical thinking skills at each level of the program, using science and evidence to inform your clinical judgement. Your clinical experiences begin sophomore year and will challenge you to develop yourself as an advocate and leader.
You'll collaborate with faculty that are engaged in clinical practice and research and receive individualized attention in both the classroom and clinical settings.
Curriculum
The curriculum prepares you to deliver nursing care throughout the lifespan, implementing interventions that promote health, prevent illness, and manage disease. Healthcare disparities, access to care and issues of social justice are considered throughout the program. We infuse our Jesuit values into practice, considering the individual beyond physical health. You'll also engage in service learning courses that will enrich your exposure to diversity and inclusion and assist you in living the Jesuit values.
The major requires 127.5 credits, which include courses in liberal arts, sciences, major requirements and electives.
During the spring semester of sophomore year, you have an opportunity to study abroad, or earn credits toward your degree with one of our travel courses.
Along with clinical sites within the 第一吃瓜网 area, we also offer experiences out of the area in larger metropolitan locations.

Careers Opportunities for a BSN
Upon graduation you enter the network of RoyalRNs who are delivering empathetic and innovative care, leading organizations and contributing to life-changing research. We have a consistently high employment rate after graduation and are proud of our alumni who are representing us throughout the country and the world.
Many graduates of the BSN program obtain jobs as registered nurses in a variety of hospital settings, including labor and delivery, operating rooms, adult intensive care units, and pediatric intensive care units. Other have chosen to join the U.S. Army Nurse Corps through the ROTC program, or positions in community settings and volunteer organizations such as the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.
