Gaudenzi Family Humanities Commons
The new Gaudenzi Family Humanities Commons (300 St.Thomas Hall) represents an educational and social gathering place for the Humanities in the heart of the University’s campus. It is comprised of two classrooms, one small event space/larger classroom, and a collaborative learning lounge for humanities students. At the core of this Commons is our commitment to the Humanities as essential for citizenship, understanding our complex and interconnected world, engaging in critical conversations, and imagining the world from different perspectives.
The µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø of the Humanities Commons is:
- To advance the work of the humanities across disciplines as essential for citizenship, understanding our complex and interconnected world, engaging in critical conversations, and imagining the world from different perspectives.
- To showcase the importance of the humanities to our Catholic and Jesuit µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø, both within our university community and to those external to the university.
- To bolster collaboration with the Gail and Francis Slattery Center for the Ignatian Humanities.
