Current First-Year Student Housing Selection

General Information

All first-year residential students are required to live on campus during their sophomore year.  Each residential student will be provided access to the housing selection system in their housing portal.  Commuting students who wish to live on campus during 2025-2026 should contact the Office of Residence Life and Housing (housing-selection@scranton.edu) as soon as possible.  Participating student groups of 4 will be provided selection times randomly and choose housing.  The online housing process will take place on Thursday, April 10th at 3:00 p.m.

Rising sophomore students will select housing from Condron, Gavigan, and Redington Halls.  These buildings are comprised of "quads" which are two double bedrooms connected by a shared bathroom.

Thursday, April 10th @ 3:00 p.m.:  Rising Sophomore Live Online Selection

 Information sessions will be offered in February and March to students to learn more about the process and ask any questions. Dates and times are TBD but will be posted on this webpage and on RoyalSync once finalized. 

Housing selection timeline as follows: 

  • Monday, February 3rd:  Students will receive a kickoff email with details and instructions. Applications will open in the housing portal for students looking for room and/or quad mates. Offline selection for students with approved housing accommodations will begin on a rolling basis.
  • Friday, March 7th:  Forms Close
  • Tuesday, April 1st: Groups of 4 must be finalized and will lock
  • Tuesday, April 8th: Selection times are released to groups and inventory is made available through the portal
  • Thursday, April 10th:  Live Online 4-person Selection begins @ 3:00 p.m.
